Product Owner: Orders & Commerce Channels

Job Description

Job title: Product Owner

Focus area: Orders & Commerce Channels

Location: Office First Hybrid Model/Haggerston, London

Join us at Zedonk, where innovation meets expertise in Specialist Business ERP Software crafted specifically for the dynamic needs of the fashion industry. Our mission is clear: to seamlessly bridge the evolving realms of fashion and technology. Zedonk’s cutting edge solution is the one stop shop technology for brands and showrooms. We empower businesses to streamline their operations and elevate their success.

With a history of nearly 20 years, Zedonk has empowered 1000+ brands and showrooms across 45 countries. Our success lies in an affordable, modular structure tailored to small and medium sized companies’ unique needs. As we chart our course in the ever evolving technology sector, we are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team and contribute to the next exciting chapter of our success story.

Headquartered in London, our team comprises industry experts dedicated to delivering unparalleled service to our clients. We value individuals inspired to make a difference, possess a keen interest in the intersection of technology and fashion, and exhibit curiosity. At Zedonk, we thrive on team collaboration, a small but mighty team where sharing, trust, and a social spirit form the foundation of our work culture.

In the Product Team, we don’t just build software; we solve complex fashion business problems. This role is for a ‘super user’ of the entire Zedonk system, both Z.Hub, our ERP, and Z.Studio, our PLM, with a specific focus on Orders & Commerce Channels: Sales Orders, Order Tracker, our Digital Showroom (web and the upcoming app), Line Sheets, Sales Agents, our B2B connectors, and Analytics. Whichever way an order reaches us, manually, through the app, or through one of our connectors, you’ll own making sure it processes correctly end to end. Our new Digital Showroom app is already designed and arriving this year, and it’s a big development for the business, so this is a role for someone who has worked on software with a lot of end users before, and who understands that the design language and user journey matter just as much as the logic underneath. By leading internal training and creating ‘gold standard’ guides, you bridge the gap between the product team and our internal client-facing teams. We’re looking for a resourceful problem solver who takes pride in having the answers and enjoys helping others grow through shared knowledge. Orders & Commerce Channels is where you’ll go deepest, but you’ll build working knowledge across the whole of Zedonk so you can support colleagues and clients beyond your core area.

Who are you?

You are a dependable professional who finds satisfaction in being the ‘engine room’ of a team. You stay calm under pressure and are comfortable juggling multiple testing projects and internal queries at the same time. You take pride in being the reliable ‘source of truth’ that the rest of the company can depend on. You can work independently within your own specialism, but you’re just as happy pitching in elsewhere, our areas overlap, and everyone chips in to keep things joined up. You’ve got the commercial nous to hold your own with senior stakeholders, and you want to keep growing as you learn more. At Zedonk, we value that expertise, your voice will be listened to and heard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Mastery & Detailing: Deep dive into your core area (Sales Orders, Order Tracker, Digital Showroom, B2B Connectors, Analytics) to master the system and document granular logic, while building working knowledge across the rest of Zedonk’s offering over time.
  • Tier 2 Internal Support: Act as the main point of escalation for the Client Success team, providing troubleshooting for complex internal queries that require deep logical insight.
  • End to End Testing (QA): Conduct manual testing on new features, bug fixes, and updates. You are responsible for ensuring functionality is sound and meets our standards before it goes live.
  • Project Contribution: Work with other members of the Product team on new projects, providing operational insight during the discovery phase and ensuring the final product works for industry workflows.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Base: Maintain the “Internal Source of Truth,” including feature specifications and “how to” guides that translate technical logic into clear language for your colleagues.
  • Internal Education: Lead training sessions for the Client Success and Business Development teams to ensure they are fully equipped on new functionality and complex modules.
  • Market, Competitor & Regulatory Research: Track market trends, what competitors are doing, and evolving requirements affecting orders and B2B trading (such as EDI standards and marketplace requirements), feeding findings into product roadmap decisions.
  • Research & Proposals: Build the case for improvements in your area, bring proposals to the Product Director for sign-off, write clear specs for the development team, and support testing before release.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 2 years + experience in fashion or a similar product role (Wholesale, Department Store, or B2B SaaS).
  • Previous experience using Zedonk is desirable, though experience in a similar product role elsewhere works just as well.
  • Hands-on experience with wholesale ordering platforms such as Joor, NuOrder, or LeNewBlack, or buying experience at a department store, ideally from the buyer or merchandiser side rather than only as a system administrator.
  • Understands how orders are actually taken at market, trade shows and showroom appointments, and what buyers and retailers look for when placing them.
  • The ability to multitask and manage several projects and internal questions at once.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex logic clearly in writing and in person.
  • Confidently lead internal training and collaborate across different departments.
  • Experience with software used by a large number of end users, where the design language and user journey mattered as much as the underlying functionality.
  • Calm under pressure, with sound judgement people trust.
  • A quick learner who picks things up fast and actually retains them, rather than needing to relearn the same thing twice.
  • Genuinely curious about how a change in one part of the system affects everything else, not just what changed, but why it matters elsewhere.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to work faster, whether that’s researching a market trend or getting up to speed on a new topic. We’re a human-first company, AI helps you move quicker, it doesn’t do your thinking for you.

What’s in it for you:

  • Join a profitable company established for over 20 years, offering a secure role with a consistent and reliable Monday to Friday schedule
  • End to end in house training.
  • Medical and Dental Insurance.
  • Discretionary bonus scheme.
  • TFL Travel loan & Cycle to work scheme.
  • Bi-monthly team building activities.
  • Office: Fancy East London office with a roof terrace and canal views.
  • Thirsty Fridays: End of day drinks with the team.
