How 3PL Warehouses The Brand Hangar & Hecny Logistics BeNeLux work with Zedonk to Supercharge Logistic Operations

“We are related through common ground and industry, with a strong reputation of delivering a solution for fashion brands. With our like-minded approach, we offer complimenting services with fantastic customer service making the perfect partners.”

Founded in 2016 by Susie Palmer, Mark Bowring, and Paul Witkover, The Brand Hangar is a UK-based specialist warehouse for contemporary and designer fashion brands. With over 40 years of combined experience in the industry, The Brand Hangar identified a gap in the fashion supply chain for purpose-built, barrier-free services that other warehouses were unwilling to fill.

Hecny Logistics BeNeLux, founded in 2013 under the name “TSG” by Tom De Schamphelaire and Stephen Geldhof before rebranding in 2025, found the same issues were very much rampant across the channel in mainland Europe. As a result, they sculpted themselves as a logistics partner with a strong focus on the fashion industry, operating out of Belgium and later into the Netherlands to cater to the growing market.

An Alliance is Formed

As longtime integration partners, Zedonk had seen the benefit of both The Brand Hangar and Hecny Logistics as robust, fashion-centric 3PLs for their respective clients over several years of mutual business.

In 2024, however, these relationships grew even greater in significance when both trusted warehouses decided to form a close, influential partnership together.

Born from their similar values and shared focus on service, precision, and people, this alliance served as a way to support brands moving into cross-border logistics; both within their existing network and amongst future fashion businesses.

“While we are two independent companies, we work as preferred partners, collaborating seamlessly on cross-border fashion logistics. It’s a partnership built on trust, mutual standards, and a shared passion for helping fashion brands scale efficiently. We’re proud to work with such a dedicated and pleasant team.” Tom De Schamphelaire, Hecny Logistics BeNeLux

Spearheaded by their strong, mutual reputation of delivering a solution for fashion brands within their respective countries, their complimenting services presented such a union as the natural next step.

Zedonk & 3PL: A Powerful Combo for Wholesale Operations

Wholesale operations are a crucial cog for the success of fashion businesses. By investing in a solution that handles B2B effectively, brands have significantly improved their efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Zedonk provides its own suite of tools designed with SME wholesale practices in mind. Its ERP capabilities offer real-time synchronisation of inventory and sales orders, shared with warehouses to ensure full visibility over wholesale operations.

Providing a built-in Product Information Management (PIM) system, Zedonk centralises views of core product data, sales information, and rich media, as well as catalogue management and costing tools to ensure success. Zedonk’s Digital Showroom and interactive linesheets have also become an attractive tool for businesses looking to tell a story to their buyers. But no wholesale supply chain would be complete without the crucial inclusion of a 3PL and respective Warehouse Management System (WMS).

For both Hecny Logistics and The Brand Hangar, every wholesale process is done with the fashion model in mind. From handling seasonal drops and pre-orders to managing B2B fulfilment for boutiques and department stores, each process is catered to the needs of the brand and the buyer.

Automated order picking, advanced labeling, barcoding and packaging standards to match buyer requirements are all crucial to a successful B2B supply chain. Experienced teams with a background in fashion provide the added benefit of understanding and managing delivery deadlines, showroom shipments, and high-volume outbound flows during sales campaigns.

All of these aspects provided by fashion-specific warehouses not only introduce the best support possible for brands, but are made stronger still when combined with robust data transferring through specialised tech tools like Zedonk.

Tom De Schamphelaire from Hecny Logistics shared, “Zedonk integration allows for real-time syncing of inventory, orders, and deliveries between the brand and our logistics platform. This means fewer manual interventions, instant updates, and full visibility across the supply chain. For brands, it reduces errors, speeds up decision-making, and allows smoother transitions between sales seasons. Combined with our systems, it creates a frictionless backend that supports the brand’s growth without the growing pains.”

Susie Palmer from The Brand Hangar also noted that working with Zedonk eliminated the need for manual uploads or working with separate data, creating a centralised system and single source of truth. “It allows clients to not have to double check or intervene during the delivery window, but to know goods in and out are being processed in a timely manner.”

"Our collaboration with HECNY, Zedonk, and our brand Meryll Rogge has created a seamless, end-to-end wholesale solution—from order capture to delivery. Zedonk keeps our operations structured and clear, while HECNY ensures our shipments move efficiently across borders. This ecosystem has allowed us to focus more on creativity and less on admin, empowering Meryll Rogge to scale globally with confidence."

Retail Integrations and the DTC Market

While the wholesale market is a key driver for many fashion businesses, the specialisms of The Brand Hangar, Hecny Logistics and Zedonk are certainly not limited to it. Retail, particularly eCommerce, has become an essential for growing brands.

For retail business to work successfully, warehouse fulfilment must be fast, accurate, and scalable - something fashion-specific warehouses are no strangers to providing.

Working DTC (direct-to-consumer) means meeting the high expectations of today’s consumers, both in quality and in support. Hecny Logistics and The Brand Hangar offer value-added services such as gift wrapping and returns handling, but perhaps the most crucial aspect, at the heart of logistics and operations, is sound integration with key retail platforms.

Zedonk works intuitively with Shopify to ensure a seamless data flow of stock adjustments and sales order information direct from system-to-system. Information is then sent into the WMS (Warehouse Management System) at The Brand Hangar and Hecny Logistics, facilitating accurate pick & pack, informed stock movement, and rapid deliveries.

Hecny Logistics and The Brand Hangar also offer their own sturdy integrations with Shopify, as well as platforms like Zalando, Amazon and other marketplaces to provide the best possible experience for their retail clients.

“We rely on integrations with eCommerce platforms, such as Shopify to ensure orders are sent the same day. Paperwork is automatically generated depending on the destination through our WMS meaning orders leave on time and happy customers!” Susie Palmer, The Brand Hangar

"We at Clio Peppiatt love using Zedonk with The Brand Hangar as the integration allows us to easily track and record incoming inventory, making sending out both wholesale and ecommerce orders a seamless process. The teams at The Brand Hangar and at Zedonk are so supportive and understanding of our business, and they’re always on hand to assist with any queries we might have."

The Need for Logistics Solutions

Naturally, there are many expenses to navigate when running a fashion business, particularly in its early stages. Logistics, however, has become an essential not to be avoided.

Swimwear brand Juliet Dunn noted their experience using Zedonk and The Brand Hangar in tandem for their logistics processes. “Since working with The Brand Hangar our wholesale business has become streamlined and much easier to manage. With the Zedonk connector I can arrange everything from the shipment leaving our factory to orders being dispatched with only a few clicks, freeing up my time immensely. I can trust TBH to always work efficiently, quickly and precisely.”

Managing inventory and stock flow can be a headache for brands looking to expand and offer better service, says Susie from The Brand Hangar. Emerging fashion businesses may deal with periods where staffing needs are variable, combined with limited spacing affecting accurate real-time inventory, storing packaging in bulk, and access for couriers.

Tom from Hecny Logistics adds that managing logistics in-house can be more costly than brands imagine, on top of being time-consuming and difficult to scale. In fashion, where seasonality, returns, and quality control are critical, outsourcing to a specialised and fashion-focused 3PL will reap significant benefits for growth. Luxury accessories brand Yosuzi noted the efficiency of choosing Hecny for their operations. “We work with [Hecny Logistics] for all of our domestic and international B2C and B2B shipping needs. They are excellent at adapting to their clients needs and helped me get my business set up in no time.”

Ultimately, having a strong and well-connected network to support your supply chain can evolve fashion businesses from potential mismanagement, costly errors, and time-consuming admin, to operations that free-up time for creativity, inspiration, and scaling.
