Bsamply becomes part of Dedagroup Stealth family

LA-born but Milan-based Bsamply recently announced it would become part of Dedagroup Stealth. The B2B collaboration platform joins the group along with Zedonk, following our acquisition in 2020.

The acquisition comes as a result of the synergy between Bsamply’s users and Dedagroup Stealth’s clients, but also their mutual mission to increase the sustainability, traceability, and transparency of the fashion industry’s supply chain.

The company was incorporated in 2017 by founder Andrea Fiume, born in Italy into a family of textile manufacturers on his mother’s side and skiwear apparel brand on his father’s. Experiencing the manual, time-consuming process getting from sourcing to production firsthand, Andrea imagined a system that could easily connect suppliers or raw materials with fashion brands, reducing the environmental impacts and increasing the efficiency.

”I started working in the fashion industry in 2006, in times where nobody was yet speaking about sustainability. At Lifegate, I created a line of eco-friendly jeans. It was then that I asked myself, how can I make the supply chain more efficient and more sustainable? This is when I decided to digitalise it.” – Andrea Fiume, Founder, Bsamply

Providing a system that not only brings the traditional sourcing process digital and speeds up the process, Bsamply increases the raw material offering by allowing buyers and suppliers from across the globe to work together.

Originally conceptualised as a marketplace built on showrooms in a virtual space, it has quickly become an essential work tool. Buyers can not only request physical and digital samples, but create moodboards, download recognised certifications, setting up appointments and liaising with international suppliers.

As part of the Dedagroup Stealth family, along with Zedonk, Bsamply will continue to evolve and increase its product offering, allowing purchasing teams within fashion brands work seamlessly together with their suppliers, and track all steps of the production lifecycle of purchasing the initial fabric and trim, to the final sale of the finished good, becoming a vertical module designed to facilitate communication with both parties ERP systems.

Bsamply currently works with 7000+ registered buyers of raw materials, from emerging fashion designers to large luxury brands with 100+ suppliers of fabric, yarns, trims, and components. The most recent supplier to join is Deacor Trutex, offering 100% organic American-grown and spun cotton. With the majority of suppliers of the platform originally based in Italy, it has recently expanded globally, reaching Australia and the US.

Many of the suppliers registered on Bsamply choose to use the platform as an outlet for leftover or deadstock, like Lanificio Raphael, a leading Italian wool supplier offering 100% quality guaranteed stock service products in cashmere and virgin wool on the platform. The model is vital within the industry today from a sustainable standpoint and is used by fashion brands and groups to purchase their exact order quantities.

Whether it is simply getting in touch with new suppliers to request product samples or to manage the entire collection process, Bsamply offers functionalities needed by both.
