As COVID forced us all into lockdown, companies have had to quickly adjust to working from home and re-think their existing internal structures in order to survive the pandemic and plan ahead.
Fashion Council Germany took the opportunity to launch their new Digital Fashion Future Readiness programme, and the Zedonk team are proud to put their support behind it.
The DFFR programme, launched by FCG alongside the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, focuses on the digital transformation of Berlin-based brands.
“We are very happy to have Zedonk on board as a partner of the DFFR! Thanks to this partnership, our participants have been able to get to know and use the program and can take another step towards their digital transformation. After the German Sustain Concept, this is already the second collaboration with Zedonk and we are happy to pursue the same goal of supporting young designers.” – Scott Lipinski, CEO, Fashion Council Germany
Funded by Projekt Zukunft and in cooperation with ModCast and Sqetch, participants are supported for four months through personal coaching sessions and webinars to counteract the lack of digitisation.
“Emerging brands are shaping the future of fashion. The DFFR programme provides high potential entrepreneurs with complimentary digital solutions such as Zedonk to support their digital transformation from pixel to product.” – Marte Hentschel, CEO, Sqetch
The selected brands who will benefit from the programme and receive extensive mentorship are Esther Perbandt, Faulhaber Products, Malaikaraiss, Marcel Ostertag, Nana Bodywear, Natascha von Hirschhausen, Nove, Novicewear, William Fan and Working Title.
By introducing technology and software into the core of their business, the aim is to set brands for a successful future and the ability to compete on an international scale.
As an official partner of the #DigitalFashionFutureReadiness programme, Zedonk welcomes the participating brands to create an infrastructure adapted to their own individual needs with our best-in-class software.
“The DFFR programme gives us the opportunity to work with great applications like Zedonk. We appreciate Zedonk for how easy and convenient it is to have raw materials and prices as well as orders in one place.” – Bjoern Kubeja, CEO & Founder, Working Title
Whether it be to streamline the development of collections, to manage inventory or to sell virtually, brands are having to overcome these new hurdles being faced fast.
Having a solution that can make their business models crisis-proof and allows them to be and operate more sustainably is now at the forefront of fashion companies’ decisions.
“Thanks to the DFFR project, I have the opportunity to set up my company in a more future-oriented digital way. Through new technologies, we will be able to facilitate complex work steps in the future, which will leave us more time for the creative process – the dream of every designer.” – Marcel Ostertag, Founder, Marcel Ostertag
And considering all the changes that the industry is facing, the implementation of technology has never been more important.
